登録支援機関とは、特定技能1号の外国人に対して、在留中に安定的・円滑な活動を行う為の職業生活及び日常生活並びに社会生活上の支援を、受入れ機関（特定技能外国人を雇用する企業等です。
法律上の表現は「特定技能所属機関」）から委託を受けて、受入れ機関に代わって実施する機関です。

POEAと連携
POEAとは、【Philippine Overseas Employment Administration】の略で、フィリピン海外雇用庁です。
海外で仕事をするフィリピン人の権利を守るために、出国前に勤務先の会社の審査等をするのが主な役割です。
東京には、【PHILIPPINE OVERSEAS LABOR OFFICE Tokyo】 を略したPOLOと呼ばれる役所（フィリピン海外労働事務所東京支店）があります。

登録支援機関は、2019年4月の入管法改正に伴って制定されました。

Registered Support Organizations are entrusted by Host Organizations (Corporations that employ foreigners on Specialized Skilled Worker I visas. Legally referred to as “Organization of Affiliation of the Specified Skilled Worker.
) to provide support in the foreign employee’s work life, daily life and social life so that they can conduct their activities in a smooth and stable manner during their time in Japan.
